The underpass is situated on the King Fahd Road and Prince Mohammad Bin Abfulaziz Street. The design is limited to looking at the cladding of the underpass and how to beautify the architectural appearance of other elements too, such as the front side of the decks and central piers. The final design concept of “rings and bubbles” consists of a background cladding made of flat perforated panels screwed to the wall through brackets and vertical profiles. The aluminium circles on top of the panels are also fixed to the wall by an invisible fixing system.
