Following the completion of the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, Arriyadh Development Authority acquired two additional parcels of land adjacent to this project. We developed and supervised construction of the extension to the existing public park. A highlight we designed, was a fog system we integrated into the lawn area, using more than 1200 fog-dispersing nozzles. The purpose was twofold; to provide a cooling system inside a public open space relevant to the scale of a public park and secondly to provide a feature of interest or attraction in the park itself. The challenge was to provide this system to be tamper-free and allowing normal maintenance operation of the lawn in between the nozzles itself.
